The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Sherlock Holmes is a series of mystery and crime fiction books. Holmes is a consulting detective and Watson is his sidekick. Together, they solve crimes. Sherlock Holmes has a very strange personality. He is very intelligent and observant but isn't empathetic and usually doesn't say what his thoughts are about the crime only when he has solved everything.

This book is made up of 12 short stories. The stories are written in difficult language and some parts are confusing. It is usually written in Dr Watson's point of view but a few stories were written in Sherlock's point of view. I thought that most of the stories were boring at the beginning but get better as they are close to solving the crime. Sometimes it seems that the author rushed when he was writing the ending because Sherlock and Dr Watson only knows a few clues then suddenly they solve and know everything about the crime. 

Although, this book was written from the late 19th century to early 20th century I enjoyed reading it and I understand why it is such a well known book. I think this book is suitable of  people of all ages if they are looking for a book that challenges them a bit and if they like mystery books.
